TECHNICAL SOLUTION

  • Walls and abutments execution made using a modular forming system
  • Paraslim brackets for the deck’s slab consoles
  • Shoring towers to support the pre-fabricated beams
  • Rapishor falsework to for the deck’s slabs
  • Circular formwork for the piers execution

GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION

Essentially, this project consists in the improvement of existing structures of Glasgow motorways: M8, M73 and M74. At its conclusion, over 25 concrete structures will have been rebuilt and/or built from scratch, including pedestrian crossings, underpasses, retaining walls and protection structures.

PROJECT BENEFITS

This work will shorten the travelling time between Glasgow and Edinburgh in approximately 20 minutes, promoting passenger transport, goods and services. It will also allow the reduction of the pollutant emissions as well as noise level reductions, contributing to a better quality of life and air.
