Viaduct executed above piers with height exceeding 100 m (the highest with 114m high) with an underslung Movable Scaffolding System
Extension of the Deck width executed with a tabs machine form adapted from a form traveller system from CONSTRUGOMES
Deck construction in three stages: Box with movable scaffolding (two phases); extension with tabs machine (one phase).
The concreting cycle expected was 10 days per span, but it was reached a 7 days/ span cycle.

GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION
Viaduto do Corgo is the biigest structure within the highway link A4 and Transmontana highway, which connects Porto to Bragança. This work of great technical complexity and architectural beauty gave a agreater shine to Douro Vinhateiro, considered of significant importance to World Heritage.
PROJECT BENEFITS
The execution of this viaduct fulfilled the main goal of this project which was ensuring the crossing of Corgo's River Valley, in Vila Real. As a result it has enhanced the territorial cohesion, reduced road accidents and ultimately increased employment opportunities.
